Your Privacy

The Short Version

EV Finder and the Electra iOS app do not collect, store, or share personal data. We do not require an account to use the app or website. There is no tracking, no profiling, and no advertising.

What We Do Not Collect

  • Name, email address, or contact details
  • Location data
  • Device identifiers or advertising IDs
  • Browsing or purchase history
  • Financial information

Analytics

The website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with IP anonymisation enabled. GA4 collects anonymised, aggregated data (page views, session counts, approximate region) to help us understand how the site is used. This data is not linked to any individual user and cannot be used to identify you.

The Electra iOS app does not include any analytics SDK. No usage data is sent to us from the app.

On-Device Features (iOS App)

The Electra app stores your shortlist and wizard preferences locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

When you book a test-drive or set a deal reminder, the app writes an event or reminder to your iOS Calendar or Reminders app. This is a write-only operation on your device. We do not read your calendar or reminders data.

The app uses Apple’s UserDefaults only to pass pre-filled Siri intent values between the Siri shortcut and the Find Wizard. These values are temporary and are cleared immediately after use.

Third-Party Services

The iOS app fetches publicly available EV data, news, incentives, and used listings from ev-finder.com.au over HTTPS. No personal data is included in these requests.

The website uses Stripe to process one-off tip jar payments. If you choose to tip, Stripe’s privacy policy applies to that transaction. EV Finder does not store payment card details.

Children’s Privacy

EV Finder is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Australian Privacy Act 1988

Because EV Finder does not collect personal information as defined by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), the obligations under those instruments do not currently apply. If we introduce features that collect personal data in future, this policy will be updated before those features ship.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted with a revised “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of EV Finder after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
